HipHopDX Rising Star 42 Dugg went viral earlier this week and it’s thanks to his brutal honesty. TikTok star La’Ron Hines hosts a video series where he asks little kids “Are You Smart?” and proceeds to pepper them with basic questions which have produced funny answers.
Hines took his series to the streets of a music festival and played a celebrity edition of “Are You Smart?” with Kehlani and 42 Dugg. Lani Tsunami is asked to finish a lyric to her 2016 cut “Distractions” and she’s actually impressed Hines can sing a little bit.

He then turns his attention to a confused 42 Dugg hanging in a golf cart. The Detroit native answers with an emphatic “no” when asked if he’s smart.

The clip gets even better when he botches the opening bars to his “We Paid” collaboration with Lil Baby following, “Fore I go broke like Joc.” “Rob me a broke ass bitch,” Dugg responds while the actual lyrics are, “Fuck with that dog like Vick.”

42 Dugg could’ve easily been messing with the 19-year-old TikTok star or just confused by the whole encounter overall. It should also be noted “We Paid” was a huge hit on TikTok and the platform played an integral role in fueling its rise.
