Barricaded suspect in Modesto prompts lockdown at nearby school
A man has barricaded himself inside a Modesto home on Wednesday, prompting a lockdown from a nearby junior high school, according to police.Just before 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a call from the residents of a home on the 1000 block of West Roseburg Avenue who said a man broke into the window of the home.Police said the man was known to the residents, but does not live at the home. The residents called police after the man refused to leave the home.The man is still inside the home refusing to leave, police said. Nearby Roosevelt Junior High School has been placed on lockdown as a precaution.Police said the incident does not have anything to do with the school.This is a developing story.Stay with KCRA 3 for the latest.
