Chipotle's “Boorito” Halloween-themed campaign involved sending emails to lapsed and at-risk customers, with the goal of incentivizing their participation and regaining their loyalty. The messages included “buy-one-get-one” promotional codes. The campaign drew on Liveclicker's device detection capabilities and targeting rules to determine which users were engaging from mobile devices, and to automatically include text prompts into the emails. Halloween day redemption of the codes was strong.
