With the NBA season around the corner, the G League season isn’t far behind. This year is different from any season before. The 2021-22 season will be split into two parts: the in-season tournament, the Showcase Cup, and the regular season. The Showcase Cup is 14 games and remaining 36 games are regular season games.

On Tuesday, the Westchester Knicks announced their schedule for the 2021-22 season.

The first 14 games of the season will be the Showcase Cup. The Westchester Knicks will face the Capital City Go-Go, Raptors 905, Long Island Nets, Maine Celtics, College Park Skyhawks and Delaware Blue Coats twice each during the Showcase Cup. Each team’s record will reset following the Showcase Cup. The tournament will consist of four regional pods. The teams with the best record in each regional pods, along with the next four teams with the best win percentage, will compete for the second Showcase Cup.

The regular season portion of the season starts on December 28 with back-to-back games against the Lakeland Magic. The Knicks travel to Long Island, NY in the first Battle of the ‘Burbs meeting against the Long Island Nets. January 3 will be Westchester’s first home game of the season against the Wisconsin Herd.

While five of the team’s first six games are on the road, the Knicks have two four-game home stretches. The first one takes place from Feb. 1 - Feb. 8 and the second is Mar. 8 - Mar. 16. While the Knicks start the season on the road, the team will finish the regular season with consecutive games against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at home. The regular season concludes on April 2.

With the Westchester County Center being used as a COVID-19 vaccination site, the Knicks will play their home games at another venue, which will be announced at a later date.
