‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’: Watch the First Teaser for Amazon’s Slasher Reboot

Things are getting steamy — and scary — in the new teaser for Amazon Prime Video’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, a reboot of the 1997 slasher flick starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar. The series, which will premiere its first four episodes on October 15 and roll out weekly thereafter, will center on a group of teenagers hiding a shocking and deadly secret.

In the teaser’s opening, a graduation party is in full swing, and on the surface, it appears to be entirely normal teenager stuff: sex, drugs, glitter and glow sticks aplenty (well, normal for teens in TV land, anyway). There are hints of relationship drama, with snippets of arguments building up to the big reveal in the latter half of the teaser… A year ago, a group of teens were a part of a fatal car crash (and subsequent cover-up) that happened on graduation night, and someone found out.

Cue a clip an enormous knife and a body being dragged. “I’m Coming 4 U,” reads a chilling text sent to the kids (accompanied by an equally disturbing clown emoji). A fresh adaptation of the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan, the teens will try to evade a killer in a more modern, smart phone-ridden landscape. Madison Iseman (known for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) stars, along with Bill Heck, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck and Brooke Bloom. The series is written and produced by Gossip Girl producer Sara Goodman.
