One man died and two others injured after a car and a sport-utility vehicle crashed head-on in Industry on Tuesday night, Sept. 14.

The coroner’s office had not yet identified the dead man.

The crash on Currier Road and Lemon Avenue was reported to the Sheriff’sDepartment at 7:39 p.m.

A speeding car heading east on Currier lost control, went into the westbound lanes and collided with the SUV, sheriff’s Lt. David Petrocelli said.

The man driving the car suffered a broken femur as well as lacerations to his arms and hands while his passenger died, Petrocelli said.

The SUV’s driver complained of pain in his chest and legs, Petrocelli said.
