There’s been some debate among Ford Bronco enthusiasts as to whether the Jeep-competitive offroad Bronco would be titled Warthog or Raptor. We have our answer as a 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor has appeared in a Ford dealer’s ordering system. The Ford Bronco has been unobtainable for a while due to lack of production. The Raptor variant will likely be no different, and will almost definitely be even more scarce than other versions of the Ford Bronco. This Ford Bronco Raptor will be a direct competitor to Jeep’s offroading capability. Here’s how information about a Ford Bronco Raptor leaked from a dealer ordering system.

How did the Ford Bronco Raptor leak?

A user on the Bronco6G forums posted a screenshot of the dealer ordering system. The user managed to find not only the information about the name of the new version of the vehicle but also information about the trim levels and packages it may have. The person said “After reading Zach’s thread on the ordering process and using WBDO I took a look at the old CONCEPS ordering system and found a new body code: E5J. This code did not exist for the 21MY.” So by searching for the Ford Bronco within a dealer ordering system called CONCEPS, they were able to locate the new Raptor variants

What information is available about the Ford Bronco Raptor?

Firstly, a base Ford Bronco Raptor coded as 373A is coming along with a higher package called 374A. We noticed a few differences between the two trim levels from the dealer ordering system screenshot.

The 374A version adds the Lux package, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, voice-activated navigation, and a 10-speaker audio system. That’s a lot of valuable amenities but doesn’t include much about the exterior or performance of the vehicle. We’re assuming there will be more upgrades from the 373A to the 374A, but they will be mainly convenience features.

On top of all that, new colors have also been found in the system. Previously unavailable to the Ford Bronco lineup, Eruption Green, Hot Pepper Red, and Code Orange will now be available on the Raptor variant. Hot Pepper Red and Code Orange are currently available on Ford Rangers and F-150 Raptors, respectively. Eruption Green will make its debut with the Ford Bronco in 2022. Code Orange will stay a Raptor exclusive, but will now be available on the F-150 and Bronco Raptors.

An additional trim level was found

The user who posted on the Bronco6G forums originally finding this information updated their post with some new information afterward. The third trim level is called Everglades, which will have four doors and an exclusive color option called Desert Sand. Another cool new color along with a more spacious Ford Bronco is something to get excited about. It seems the long drought of available new Ford Broncos is going to get even longer because we expect the Raptor variants to sell out quickly.

The Ford Bronco Raptor will be available for the 2022 model year. The next wave of reserved Broncos to be delivered is expected sometime in early 2022. New features and colors make this Bronco variant something interesting for any Bronco enthusiast. Ford may even be on the way to dethroning Jeep as the go-to offroad vehicle automaker. All of this information is speculation leaked online by the user from the Bronco6G forums. Until the Ford Motor Company makes an official announcement, we cannot guarantee it to be true, though it seems likely.
