Many places are demanding people get tested, but tests are in short supply in New York State
While many places across the state, including schools, are requiring COVID-19 test results for things like returning to school after feeling ill, the ability to get results quickly is almost impossible.
Onondaga County used to offer rapid tests multiple days per week, but now they are only offering them two days per week for individuals without symptoms.
All WellNow Urgent Care centers in New York State have results the same day as well as PCR testing, times and locations can be found here.
Asymptomatic patients are encouraged to visit the testing centers. In the Syracuse area, this includes the WellNow locations in Syracuse, Fairmount, Liverpool (off W. Taft Road), and Clay.
Patients who are experiencing symptoms of COVID, or those who are considered high-risk, should visit one of our full-service urgent care locations for testing.
Some people can find PCR tests that take around 48 hours through their local pharmacies or doctors offices.
