Seattle Kraken jerseys now available to buy exclusively on NHL Shop starting Wednesday: Here’s how to get one

Seattle Kraken jerseys are finally available to buy online as of today, and they’ll be sold online exclusively through the NHL shop for the first five days of their release starting at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 15 before being made available to other online fan shops, retailers and local outlets.

For you fans lucky enough to be in the Seattle area, the jerseys will be available for purchase in person at the team’s retail locations including the Kraken Community Iceplex (directions, more info), the mega store at the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rink, Chandler’s Cove and Bellevue Square Mall. Jerseys will be available in all sizes including Adidas men’s, standard adult, women’s and youth sizes.

In case you don’t have a favorite player yet, or if you are seeing jerseys with no name and the number 32 being prominently featured, that’s not an error. That number has special meaning in Seattle for the Kraken franchise, and is a number that will never be worn by a player. The number 32 represents the “deep appreciation that the franchise has for the 32,000 depositors who showed the NHL that Seattle was worthy of being the league’s 32nd franchise,” so it’s sort of similar to the way the Seattle Seahawks use the number 12 to honor the proverbial “12th man” on the field, an homage to Seahawks’ fans and the atmosphere they help create at home games.
