Something new is popping up in San Saba on September 20th and you won’t want to miss it. Workforce Solutions of Central Texas is bringing its staff and services to the city of San Saba for a pop-up Workforce Solutions event.

This one-day event will feature work stations for job seekers who want to apply for jobs, workshops for those who want to improve career skills, experts to provide advice for youth programs, adult training programs, those who need child care, and so much more.

The idea originated in a conversation between San Saba’s County Judge Byron Theodosis, and Workforce Solutions of Central Texas’ Chief Operating Officer, Louis LeDoux about how to better assist the San Saba community with employment, child care, continuing education, and so many other services provided by Workforce Solutions.

“The well-being of the people of San Saba is my top priority and that includes access to services that can dramatically improve their lives. I know it can be difficult to gain access to these services for those who live in a rural county, so I thought, let’s bring them here and make them even more accessible to our community,” said Judge Theodosis.

From 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Workforce Solutions staff will be in the San Saba County Courthouse to meet with community residents and assist with questions or concerns about career advancement, employment, and child care, among many others. These dedicated professionals are subject matter experts that may be able to find services and support that residents may not even be aware existed. And according to Louis LeDoux, the staff are very excited.

“We have been planning this exciting event for quite some time and our staff are thrilled to have the opportunity to meet the residents of San Saba, share their knowledge and expertise, and to do what we do best, connect people with jobs,” said LeDoux.
