A Johnson City couple has been arrested after investigators say an infant had multiple bone fractures.
Troy Hicks and Katarina Finney, the parents of the child, have been charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect.
A grand jury issued the indictment on September 3 after evidence was presented by investigators.
The investigation began in April, after a 6-month old child was taken to the hospital for a possible broken arm.
A medical evaluation revealed that the child had a total of four bone fractures in the arm, leg and rib areas.
Experts say all of the fractures were in various stages of healing, meaning they most likely occurred at different times.
Investigators say the parents could not provide an explanation for the injuries.
Both parents are now being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
