CLEVELAND, Ohio – We know at least one act will be taking part in the festivities leading up to the 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony next month in Cleveland.

Members of The Go-Go’s – Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine – will take part in a book signing and fan Q&A event at the Rock Hall on Oct. 29. The museum has yet to announce specific details for the event. However, a publicist for Schock, who is set to release her book “Made In Hollywood: All Access with The Go-Go’s” on Oct. 26, confirmed it is happening.

The release of Schock’s “Made In Hollywood” follows the release of Valentine’s book “All I Ever Wanted: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir” last year. Schock’s coffee table book features photographs and memorabilia from her 40-year career.

“I truly had no idea that I was to become the Go-Go’s archivist,” Schock said, in a statement released in July. “I’ve always loved photography, so taking photos of the band was a natural process. When you check out this book, I hope you feel like you were right there with me over the last forty years. From Baltimore to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, what a trip this has been. I am thrilled to finally share my personal collection with everyone.”

The Go-Go’s book signing/Q&A event will be part of Induction Week, a series of events leading up to this year’s inductions that kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 24 with a Celebration Day at the museum.

The pioneering all-female band will be inducted into the Rock Hall during the Induction Ceremony at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Oct. 30. The Class of 2021 also features Jay-Z, Tina Turner, Carole King, Foo Fighters and Todd Rundgren, along with specialty award recipients Kraftwerk, Charley Patton, Gil Scott-Heron, LL Cool J, Billy Preston, Randy Rhoads and Clarence Avant. Tickets for the annual ceremony are still available.

It was originally speculated that Carlisle would not attend the ceremony due to a conflict with her European tour. However, Carlisle postponed the tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.
