Cole Labors In Return, But Yankees Blast 5 Home Runs In Win Over Orioles

BALTIMORE (CBSNewYork/AP) — Aaron Judge started a five-homer barrage that backed Gerrit Cole, and the New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-2 Tuesday night to win consecutive games for the first time since Sept. 1 and 3.

Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit, Joey Gallo and DJ LeMahieu also went deep for New York, which tied its season high for home runs.

“Every win is big, obviously,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “This is the fun time of the year. This is where you want to be, chasing October baseball. It’s good to get this first one here, especially after they took two out of three from us at our place.
