FSU football fans are up in arms about the first-ever loss to an FCS opponent Saturday night against Jacksonville State.

Rightfully so, but an ACC win over Wake Forest could be what the doctor ordered to help restore some faith in the program. I said it was the most important game on the schedule months ago, and now even more important after the loss last week. I have some good news for you, FSU football fans.

I know everyone wants to bash Adam Fuller for the final defensive call of Saturday’s game, but they should have never been in that position. The FSU defense has played well enough to win both games, and I hope they show up Saturday against Wake Forest.

If the defense can show up again, there are some things that Wake Forest does or doesn’t do, defensively, that favor the Noles. The offense has been the main problem for FSU through two games.

It has been multiple turnovers or a ridiculous amount of penalties taking away opportunities for the offense to put points on the board.

If they can find a way around those issues, I like their chances to pull off the upset Saturday. Wake Forest isn’t a team that usually beats themselves, so these issues are something the FSU offense has to take advantage of Saturday afternoon.
