ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. —A Missouri man died in an accident just before 5:30p.m. Tuesday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford F150 driven by Scott B. Price, 61, Tarkio, was eastbound on U.S. 136 in the eastern city limits of Rock Port.
The pickup rear-ended a 2003 Peterbilt 379 driven by Icics M. Vandevere, 20, Rock Port, who had slowed to turn into a private drive. After impact the Ford skidded off the highway.
Price was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Davis Funeral Home in Fairfax. Atchison-Holt ambulance transported Vandevere to Nemaha County Hospital in Nebraska. The drivers were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
