Trump was just the latest American president whose sanity the military questioned

Cover picture for the articleDuring the turbulent final months of President Donald Trump’s administration, Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, took it upon himself to serve in loco parentis for a country that was descending into chaos, according to a preview of a new book by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward and national political reporter Robert Costa. Milley reportedly told senior military officers to make sure they had his assent before executing nuclear launch orders.

Why do we not do mental health screening on future presidents.. when you see how Hitler was broght to power and then it was to late to stop him..He had signs that he was anti Semitic before he was put in power..Are we going to let American nazis do the same thing in this country without stopping them before they get the regime they want..

I've read from at least 2 sources that, one night when Nixon was drunk, he ordered a nuke strike on Vietnam. The Genl was panicking and asked Kissinger what to do. K said to let Nixon sleep it off and see what happened in the AM. Nixon never brought it up.

If Trump does somehow win re-election, I hope that the military leaders act exactly as General Milley did by making sure that the military wouldn’t do anything catastrophic on the President’s word alone because Trump is a nut job and whether Americans can see it or not the rest of the world sees Trump for what he really is. That makes countries like China, nervous and without General Milley’s reassurances could have made them figure that they better get us be we get them
