One man died and his brother was hospitalized following a house fire early Wednesday. Family members confirm to KETV NewsWatch 7, Dave Domayer, 58, died when the home near 79th Street and Bauman Avenue caught fire around 3 a.m.His brother, Mike Domayer, 68, who lived with him was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Family members tell us both men were bus drivers for Omaha Public Schools. Dave had served the district for 35 years. Crews arriving at the scene Wednesday morning found flames pouring from the home. They rushed in to save the person inside."He was trapped in a hallway up on the second floor," said Acting Battalion Chief Jason Anderson. "He was up in the bedroom areas in the hallway."Anderson said the heat and smoke may have trapped that person upstairs. They also found a hole burned in the floor at the bottom of the stairs. The Omaha Fire Department says the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to its investigation unit. Three pets were found dead inside the house.
