Dale Robert Lau
Dale Robert Lau of Mountain Home pled guilty Thursday to charges stemming from the purchase of 26 pounds of marijuana in early 2019.
The 51-year-old Lau was sentenced to 10 years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court.
Lau was charged with purchasing the marijuana in what was termed a “reverse buy.”
According to the probable cause affidavit, “the sheriffs office with the aid of a cooperating individual” sold Lau the marijuana.
An “anticipatory search warrant” had been obtained and was served at a residence along Hickory Shadow Lane in the Lakeview area when the “monitored” marijuana transaction was completed.
Lau was one of three people taken into custody when officers served the search warrant.
Lau was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
