San Diego Padres affiliates went 3-3 on Tuesday.
Here is a recap of the day’s events.
El Paso Chihuahuas (Lost 4-3 to Albuquerque) (44-70 on the season)

The Chihuahuas gave up all four Albuquerque runs in the final three innings, blowing a two-run lead and costing them a victory. The Chihuahuas scored first when Webster Rivas hit his fifth home run of the season in the third inning. Due to the strong pitching of El Paso starter Adrian Martinez, Rivas’ home run was enough for the lead for the first five innings of the game. Gosuke Katoh singled home Matt Batten to double the El Paso lead in the sixth, but a two-out single for Albuquerque immediately brought the lead back to one. The same occurred in the seventh, as El Paso and Albuquerque both scored a run. A Josh Fuentes eighth-inning single brought home one run before El Paso center fielder Jose Azocar committed an error that allowed the eventual winning run to score.
San Antonio Missions (Lost 9-4 to Corpus Christi) (55-60 on the season)

The Missions pitching staff was overwhelmed by the Corpus Christi hitters, who found ways to score multiple runs off four of the five Missions pitchers who played in the game. Ethan Skender hit a home run to provide the only major highlight of the game for San Antonio, as they produced just five hits, two of which came from Kyle Overstreet. He was the only Mission to pick up multiple hits, including a double. The Hooks scored throughout the game, picking up multiple runs in four different innings.
Fort Wayne TinCaps (Lost 10-2 to Dayton) (54-61 on the season)
Austin Smith: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 2 K (42 pitches, 28 strikes)

Robert Hassell III: (1-for-4), 3B, BB, K
Starting pitcher, Connor Lehmann gave up eight runs while recording just eight outs, digging the TinCaps into a hole that their offense that they were incapable of digging out of. The TinCaps did not score until the ninth inning when they plated a pair of runs after they started off the inning by reaching base for four consecutive plate appearances. The TinCaps offense started well when top prospect Robert Hassell III led off the game with a triple, but Fort Wayne somehow found a way to strand Hassell, and Connor Lehmann surrendered a leadoff home run to put them behind for good.
Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 6-4 vs. Inland Empire) (51-64 on the season)

Gilberto Vizcarra: (3-for-4), 2B, 3 RBI
The Storm’s offense erupted for four first-inning runs, three of which came on a Gilberto Vizcarra bases-clearing double, giving the Storm an early cushion. Inland Empire battled back to tie the game as it moved to the bottom of the seventh, but Cole Cummings hit a tie-breaking home run. Cummings walked twice, working his way to reaching base in three of his four plate appearances. One inning later, Jack Stronach hit a home run of his own, giving the Storm an insurance run that they did not end up needing. The Storm overcame a 1-for-7 showing with runners in scoring position, as the one-hit was the absolutely crucial Vizcarra double. Starting pitcher Levi Thomas was mediocre, but he kept the Storm in the lead, helping them to the win.
DSL Padres (Won 5-1 vs. DSL White Sox) (30-12 on the season)

The Padres continued their hot play, controlling the game against the White Sox, and they took advantage of four White Sox errors to help them to a win. Henry Baez pitched well for the Padres, allowing just two hits and striking out six in three and two-thirds scoreless innings. Miguel Mendez allowed the White Sox to score their only run of the game, but he put together three solid frames, earning the win in the process. Jake Perez, Samuel Zavala, and Daniel Montesino all put together multi-hit days as the Padres picked up nine hits.
ACL Padres (Won 9-4 vs. ACL Athletics) (24-31 on the season)

Nerwilian Cedeno: (2-for-4), 2B, RBI, SB, 2 K

The Padres were carried by strong starting pitching and by a huge five-RBI performance from James Wood. Wood drove in three runs on a bases-loaded double in the sixth, helping the Padres to a five-run inning, powering them to an insurmountable lead. The Athletics picked up runs off the back of the Padres bullpen, but the Padres controlled the game throughout, working towards a comfortable win.
