Although it's only a piece of paper, your vaccine card is very important, and it can be a burden to replace.Hy-Vee's vice president of communications, Christina Gayman, said some people are requesting replacement cards to travel."We did seem some requests come through with questions coming into our pharmacy saying mid-summer as people were considering going on a vacation, traveling, flying or maybe going out of country if they could go to another country that was accepting other people coming in," Gayman said.But Gayman explained, you can only get a replacement card at the pharmacy if you got your shot there."For Hy-Vee specifically, we can only issue a duplicate COVID vaccine card if they received their COVID vaccine at Hy-Vee0," said Gayman.Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services said that's the case for all vaccine clinics and pharmacies. You can only get a replacement card at the location you received your vaccine. DHHS said you can also go online to Nebraska's State Immunization Information System, but you will have to give your social security number to get access to your records.
