KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Magnetic Fields and Lady Pink, known as “The First Lady of Graffiti,” will headline the 11th O+ Festival from Oct. 8 to 10.

O+ (pronounced O Positive) connects participating artists and musicians with health care, mental health care, dentistry and wellness services, and community support for the event has made this year’s festival free to the public, organizers said.

The O+ Festival is “a citywide celebration of life” that “will offer joy and connection, which are, like this year’s theme of ‘O+ygen,’ essential to our ability to thrive as a community,” the organizers said in a press release.

Participating solo artists, bands and ensembles include New York City’s hip-hop/rap/rock group Proper, New Jersey power pop act Teenage Halloween, Philadelphia hip-hop/experimental artist Pedazo de Carne con Ojo, Connecticut progressive/hip-hop/folk group Ceschi, and New York City rock/indie act Tierra del Fuego.

Among local acts scheduled to perform are Shana Falana, Luella Roche, Geezer, Jelly Kelly, Denmark, SSuperDirrtyDom, Shayna Blass and Caprice Rouge.

Participating mural, performance, interactive, installation and fiber artists — from around the region and throughout the Northeast — are to include Marielena Ferrer, The D.R.A.W., Hudson Valley Bee Habitat and Dina Kravtsov.
