To say that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had a nightmare Week 1 would be the biggest understatement of the NFL season thus far. But apparently there's one silver lining to it all – and it involves Tom Brady.

In a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers was candid about his Packers getting blown out of the water to the tune of 38-3 against Jameis Winston and the New Orleans Saints.

Via Christopher Kuhagen of Packers News:

“We had one of those last year as well,” Rodgers recalled. “We've had a couple rough ones in Florida (Green Bay lost on the road to Tampa Bay 38-10 during the regular season in 2020). He said two-thirds of the text messages he received after the game reminded him that the Buccaneers also lost to the New Orleans Saints, 38-3, last year and won the Super Bowl. Rodgers said maybe that's “trying to make chicken salad out of chicken s–t.”

If you're going to get blown out, at least do it in the same manner as the GOAT. Not only did the Buccaneers get dealt the same 38-3 spanking as the Packers did against the Saints en route to their Super Bowl victory, but they also lost their Week 1 matchup against the Saints as well, 23-34.

At least the Packers did both in one go. Aaron Rodgers gets a relatively easy matchup in Week 2 against Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions.
