The Mentor Community Arts Commission and the Mentor Recreation Department announced it is now accepting entries from Lake County residents for the “The Unveiled Art Contest.”
The contest accepts a variety of media including photography, drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media and includes monetary awards, according to a news release.
One piece of artwork per artist may be submitted for an entry fee of $5 per artist. The show is open to ages 16 and older.

Art drop-off is Sept. 28, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mentor City Hall, 8500 Civic Center Blvd. The opening reception will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 8, and the show will then run though Oct. 29, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Art pick-up will be Nov. 1, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
