CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Lanes of Interstate 24 will be shut down a few times on Sunday morning, Sept. 19, so TVA crews can pull power lines over the roadway.

The Tennessee Valley Authority will close the interstate east of Exit 11, at about mile marker 13, with rolling roadblocks between the hours of 6 and 11 a.m., TVA’s Scott Fiedler told Clarksville Now.

This includes both the eastbound and westbound lanes, he said.

Travelers should watch for overhead signs and roadside message boards for up-to-date traffic information. Traffic controls will be in place, along with support from TVA Police.

TVA is investing over $2 billion in transmission system improvements across the seven-state service area between 2021 and 2025, according to a news release. For more information, go to the TVA website.
