The Yankees have parted ways with a long-time struggling pitcher, announcing on Tuesday that the team designated Brooks Kriske for assignment.
In addition, Domingo German is beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton. He has been on the IL with a shoulder injury, having last pitched on July 31.

German holds a 4.45 ERA over 97 innings so far this season. One of his last starts, against the Red Sox on July 25, was his best of the season, allowing one hit over seven innings with 10 strikeouts.
Kriske pitched just 7.2 innings with the Yanks this season and struggled badly, allowing 14 runs on 12 hits, including five home runs.
