The Chicago Bulls were one of the most aggressive teams in the NBA during the offseason.

They completed a big sign-and-trade for DeMar DeRozan, added Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, and even moved Lauri Markkanen. Clearly, they want to win right now.

But, as per usual the Bulls have drawn contrasting takes about their offseason additions. For starters, some believe that they won't be good enough defensively with that core, while others believe that DeRozan won't fit next to Zach LaVine.

That's why the UCLA product was quick to shut down that narrative, stating that they're two great basketball players so they'll figure things out:

“I don’t get that at all, because that’s just outside narratives,” LaVine told Heavy. “At the end of the day, we are some of the basketball players in the world and we know how to make something work. It’s our job to get out there and get to know each other, obviously personally and as a basketball player. It’s easy to make things work on the basketball court if you all have the same intent, and that’s winning.”

LaVine fully trusts that he and DeRozan will find the way to coexist, share the wealth, and make the most of their skillsets for the sake of the team:

“I don’t think anybody on this team is selfish. With that, going forward, if that is the standard, we’re going to figure out everything because we’re too good of basketball players, we work too much, we care too much about the game for it not to," LaVine concluded.

The Bulls are looking forward to going back to the playoffs. And, even though they may not exactly be an NBA Championship contender as of now, they're a much better team today than they were during the final years of the Gar Forman era.
