The Connecticut Department of Health has 13 new COVID-19 testing sites throughout the state, including a large drive-through test location open four days a week at Dodd Stadium in Norwich.

The goal, according to state officials, is to provide testing services closer to home for residents, especially those living in areas with lower vaccination rates and higher COVID-19 infection rates. Hartford HealthCare, meanwhile, has reopened its drive-up testing location in Newington (click here), with additional testing at all Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care and Quest Diagnostics locations.

The sites are for people — vaccinated or not — who experience symptoms of the virus.

Symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle aches
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell

People who believe they have been exposed to the virus through contact with someone who becomes sick can also be tested.

State-sponsored testing sites include:
