NEVILLE NIGHTMARE

Jamie Carragher mocks Sky Sports pal Gary Neville with ‘new profile pic’ tweet after Man Utd’s loss at Young Boys

JAMIE CARRAGHER has roasted fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville following Manchester United's shocking defeat to Young Boys in the Champions League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were reduced to ten men when leading 1-0 and ended up being beaten after Jesse Lingard's terrible stoppage time backpass was dramatically punished by Jordan Siebatcheu.

And Carragher was taking no prisoners as he went on social media to mock the former Red Devils full-back.

The ex-Liverpool player tweeted a picture of Neville covering his face in anguish and added: "#NewProfilePic."

And he stuck to his tweet, promptly changing his display picture to the image of Neville.

Carragher's hilarious jibe came just a couple of hours after Neville had posted a video of himself looking smug after Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for his beloved Man Utd.

But he was left with egg on his face as his old club were turned over in the second half.

The loss was Solskjaer's seventh in 11 Champions League games as manager of the club.

The pressure is firmly on the Norwegian because the club signed Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer.

But Neville still doesn't feel United will win the Premier League this season.

He said: "I made the prediction on Monday Night Football that it would finish Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd. I'm not going to change that.

"I don't think the Ronaldo signing makes them a better team than Chelsea, who won the Champions League last season, and Man City, who were 20 points clear."

United have picked up 10 points from their opening four games of the Premier League season and currently sit top of the table.
