Daughter of Patriots Hall of Fame running back Kevin Faulk dies at age 19
The 19-year-old daughter of New England Patriots Hall of Famer Kevin Faulk has died, according to Louisiana State University.Kevione Faulk was a student worker for the LSU football team, and her father is the Tigers' running backs coach.A cause of death was not revealed when LSU Football made the announcement on Twitter Monday night."We are heartbroken with the passing of Kevione Faulk, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Faulk family and all of those who love Kevione," reads a message shared on the team's Twitter account. "She was a part of the LSU family, and we mourn the loss of a daughter, a sister, a friend, a classmate and a colleague. We ask that all Tigers keep the Faulks in their prayers and respect their privacy during this difficult time."The Patriots Hall of Fame also shared a message about Kevione Faulk's death on its Twitter account Monday night."Our heart is broken for Kevin and the entire Faulk family today. Such devastating news," the tweet reads. "If you pray, send some prayers to the Faulks tonight."Kevione Faulk is survived by her father, mother LaTisha and siblings Tanasha and Kevin III.Kevin Faulk, a former NFL running back, played all 13 seasons of his career with the Patriots after he was selected by New England in the second round of the 1999 draft out of LSU.He scored 33 touchdowns as a professional — 16 rushing, 15 receiving and two on kickoff returns — in 161 career regular-season games. He holds the Patriots' franchise records for all-purpose yards (12,349) and kickoff return yards (4,098).Faulk appeared in four Super Bowls with New England and was a part of three title-winning teams. He was inactive for the 2012 Super Bowl against the New York Giants in February and retired from the NFL that October.He was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2016 and is a member of the franchise's All-Decade Team of the 2000s, All-Dynasty Team and 50th Anniversary Team.
