Teen Wolf star Arden Cho has landed a leading role in the upcoming Netflix legal drama Partner Track, reports TVLine. The upcoming series is based on the 2013 novel The Partner Track by Helen Wan. Netflix officially ordered the show to series on Tuesday.

Cho will play the idealistic and savvy Ingrid Yun, who hopes to become the first Asian-American junior partner at an elite law firm in Manhattan called Parsons Valentine. Throughout the show’s first season, Ingrid will have to adapt to a male-dominated infrastructure and figure out what it means to be true to herself.

The first season will consist of ten hour-long episodes and will be filmed in New York. No release date has been announced, but I would imagine the series will release at some point in the latter half of 2022.

While Cho is best known for playing Kira Yukimura on Teen Wolf, she has also starred in other shows like Chicago Med, Freakish, Tween Fest, and several films. This new role will be her first substantial series regular role on a full-length drama since Teen Wolf (apart from a stint on the web series Miss 2059).

Additional Partner Track cast members

It’s not just the Teen Wolf actress who has landed a leading role in the series. Netflix has also announced the ensemble, with six other actors joining the show in supporting roles. Bradley Gibson will play a star litigator at Parsons Valentine while Alexandra Turshen portrays a woman with hedonistic tendencies.

Shadowhunters alum Dominic Sherwood will portray a mysterious London transfer who is also trying to prove himself in New York. Nolan Gerard Funk, Rob Heaps, and Matthew Rauch also star.

“We’re proud of the incredible team assembled to bring to life ‘Partner Track,’ an empowering story told through the eyes of our Asian-American lead character Ingrid Yun, played by the talented Arden Cho. Full of fun and romance, this is a contemporary and insightful look at the added pressures for women and those of underrepresented backgrounds in the workplace today,” said Jinny Howe, vice president of original series at Netflix.
