NASCAR Xfinity Driver Colin Garrett and “Mohawk” Denny Visit Carolina A.M.

The two form a partnership to help veterans. After hearing their story, Audra invited them to our show!

U.S. Marine Corps veteran Matt “Mohawk” Denny and his wife, Lindy, partnered with NASCAR Xfinity driver, Colin Garrett, and his 11/11 Veteran Project.  The 11-11 vets logo debuted on Garrett’s No. 26 Toyota Supra at Darlington Raceway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help A Hero 200 September 4, 2021.  That’s where Audra met the team and invited them to WFXB to share their stories.

The 11/11 Veteran Project is a crowdfunded organization poised to offer veterans and first responders a platform to promote available resources and support for building and maintaining personal success.   Mohawk Denny incorporated his motto, ‘Be Awesome,’ to take the project on the road to share the stories of veterans and military spouses on topics like suicide prevention. Through ongoing partnerships with nonprofits such as The Rosie Network and Racing for Heroes, Mohawk Denny and Colin Garrett are helping make access to resources for veterans easier and more accessible.
