The Crown's Emma Corrin has officially swapped royalty for the landed gentry, with the first images from the upcoming adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover now here.
Emma, who impressed audiences with their portrayal of Princess Diana in season four of The Crown, is joined by Skins' Jack O'Connell and Matthew Duckett in the Netflix movie.
After the main cast was announced last month, the first on-set pictures of Lady Chatterley's Lover have since arrived, revealing Emma in character as the lead. They're sporting some very fetching driving goggles, too.

Although it may not look it from these behind-the-scenes pictures, Lady Chatterley's Lover promises to be a steamy period piece based on DH Lawrence's once-banned novel of the same name. Life of Pi's David Magee has the (ahem) pleasure of adapting the story.
Lady Chatterley's Lover was first published privately in the 1920s, but did not receive open publishing in the UK until the '60s due to its explicit and apparently controversial depictions of sex.
It follows Constance Reid, Lady Chatterley, as she embarks on an affair with her groundskeeper Oliver Mellors, after feeling physically and emotionally neglected by her husband.
Meanwhile, Emma Corrin recently opened up about their queer identity on television for the first time, highlighting the need for greater LGBTQ+ representation on-screen.

"I think that we're so used to defining ourselves and that's the way sadly society works is within these binaries. It's taken me a long time to realise that I exist somewhere in between, and I'm still not sure where that is yet."
