Slim Chickens, a fast casual brand featuring dine-in and drive-thru service, has opened its first Georgia location, according to a company press release.

The store in Evans, Georgia, at 4311 Washington Rd., is owned by restaurant group Southeast Slims Hospitality.

The better-chicken brand has opened more than 140 locations across the U.S. and the U.K. Slim Chickens also has more than 650 locations in development, according to the release.

"Georgia's first taste of Slim Chickens will be one to remember," Jackie Lobdell, vice president of franchise development at Slim Chickens, said in the release. "Being able to partner with franchise groups like Southeast Slims Hospitality makes us even more excited to continue growing across the United States."

The brand is known for its cooked-to-order fresh food and devoted fanbase, also known as "Slimthusiasts." Slim Chickens offers 17 house-made dipping sauces, allowing customers to try a different flavor profile with each visit. Slim Chickens' menu also features chicken tenders, fresh salads, sandwiches, chicken and waffles, chicken wings and unique side items.

Slim Chickens opened in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The brand recently launched a strategic multi-unit franchise growth initiative to reach 700 units in 10 years.
