Texas drops out of ESPN's college football power rankings after Week 2

After an embarrassing loss to Arkansas in Week 2, Texas has dropped out of ESPN’s college football power rankings.

The Big 12 now only has two programs ranked this week, with Oklahoma landing at No. 4 and Iowa State dropping to No. 16. The Razorbacks cracked the Top 25 at No. 19 after the dominate win over the Longhorns.

UNC, another program that had high expectations and lost their first game of the season to an unranked team, now sits at No. 20. Texas should easily rebound this week against Rice, and if they’re able to start conference play off with a win against Texas Tech, they’ll likely find themselves back in the tail end of many polls.
