DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys could be without one of their most talented pass rushers in Week 2, with defensive end Randy Gregory being added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday.

However, during his weekly appearance on 105.3 the Fan's Shan and RJ, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed confidence that Gregory still has a chance of being available for Sunday's game.

"He's doing things to give him the best chance at having a negative test," Jones said. "We'll keep testing him out there with the protocol, and keep our fingers crossed that we could get a quick bout with this COVID. I would say that it's not serious symptoms."

Gregory has been vaccinated and is experiencing little to no symptoms, meaning that he could be removed from that list and be activated to play if he returns two consecutive negative tests that are separated by 24 hours.

If Gregory is unable to return to action in time for the matchup, fourth-year defensive end Dorance Armstrong will likely step and replace Gregory's snaps, with rookie Chauncey Golston as his backup.

Veteran Terrell Basham could also figure into the mix on that side as well.

The Cowboys and Chargers are set to kick off at 3:25 PM on Sunday from SoFi Stadium.
