Gearbox Software are working on a brand new Brothers in Arms game, the studio CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed. However, the game won't be revealed until it's ready.

Brothers in Arms is one of my favourite shooter franchises but sadly, it got buried by Call of Duty and Battlefield games, despite it's unique gameplay and strong, emotional story. The last game in the series - Hell's Highway was quite a gem but as already mentioned, it was released at a bad time - people were fed up with WW2 shooters and Call of Duty is well, Call of Duty.

Anyway, fans of the franchise have been waiting to hear more about a new potential Brothers in Arms game and it looks like that we could hear some news in the near future. Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford has confirmed in a recent interview that the team are working on a new Brothers in Arms game.

However, yes, there's always a "however", the game won't be revealed until the team "have it". "We're working on another Brothers in Arms game but I'm not saying s*** until we have it," Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said in The AIAS Game Maker's Notebook Podcast.

Pitchford also said that he did not want to reveal Borderlands 3 until it was practically in beta so it's possible that Brothers in Arms could follow the same pattern. We have to say that we prefer it that way since games change a lot during the development and it's probably better to see something that more accurately resembles the actual final product. Yes, I'm looking at you Anthem.
