On Sept. 15, Albania’s National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana will be inaugurated with a gala concert after five years of reconstruction. 

The gala will feature Plácido Domingo alongside Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho. Martin Andre will conduct the concert.

The concert will see Prime Minister Edi Rama attend the evening which is set to begin at 7 p.m.

This season Domingo is set to celebrate Anna Netrebko’s 50th birthday at the Kremlin Palace and is set to return to the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino for a production of “La Traviata.” He will also perform at the Wiener Staatsoper and Opera de Monte-Carlo.

Meanwhile, Jaho will perform at the Teatro de la Maestranza, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro Real de Madrid, Opera de Oviedo, Staatsoper Hamburg, and Palau de Congressos de Palma.
