Just last week, Lily Collins revealed that she had married Charlie McDowell in an intimate ceremony in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.
To announce the news, she shared a series of beautiful images showing special moments from the happy day. Collins wore an elegant long-sleeved Ralph Lauren lace gown, teamed with a beautiful lace hood, while her groom opted for a classic black tuxedo.
Since then, more pictures have been shared on social media from the wedding guests and Collins' beauty team, giving us a closer look at some of the gorgeous, intricate details you might have missed in the first announcement. Namely, the bride's hair.
At first glance, her style may look like it’s simply tied into a neat ballerina bun but it’s so much more than that.
Look closely and you'll see that hairstylist Gregory Russell braided the star's hair into a tiny headband to sit over her hair. Almost like a very delicate milkmaid braid.
As for the bun itself, the braid theme continued into the up-do and Russell also added two stunning silver hair pins for decoration.
Alongside the post, Russell, who has been Collins' go-to hairstylist for quite some time, wrote in a caption: “Just over a week ago I worked on this magical human and my heart was swelling the whole time. So grateful for these beautiful memories.”
The newlywed commented on the post, writing: “Love you and your beautiful creativity to much and cannot imagine not having you with me to celebrate. Thank you. Beyond.”
