Celtics PRIDE podcast: Paul Pierce inducted into the Hall of Fame and the future of Jayson Tatum

For History Week, we take a look back at The Truth.

In this week’s episode of the Celtics Pride Podcast with Adam Motenko, Josh Motenko, and Mike Minkoff, the crew brings in special guest Rich Jensen, who received rave internal reviews for his CelticsBlog article “Greatness, Glory and The Truth” about Paul Pierce’s legacy in the wake of his recent NBA Hall Of Fame induction. One commenter stated, “this is one of the best articles I’ve ever read on CelticsBlog.”

Go check it out and tune into this podcast, to hear where we think Paul Pierce ranks among his contemporaries of his era like Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Iverson, VC, McGrady, Reggie, and Grant Hill.

Rich Jensen wrote about the difference between generations of Celtics fans. “My dad had grown up with Russell and Cousy, Heinsohn and Havlicek. I grew up with Dee Brown and Reggie Lewis, Rick Fox and Brian Shaw.” Tune in to see where Rich (and his dad) would put Pierce in the rankings of Celtics lore. Like Rich’s dad’s Celtics, this podcast is somewhat slow-paced, but is overflowing with mystique.

Rich continues the conversation by remembering Reggie Lewis, so the Celtics PRIDE team asks Rich where he would rank Lewis - and Jayson Tatum - in comparison to Pierce. This podcast is dedicated to anyone who remembers the 1980’s, and loves Celtics basketball.

About Celtics PRIDE Podcast: Co-Hosts Adam Motenko, his identical twin brother Josh Motenko, and their friend Mike Minkoff couldn’t stop talking about the team. Now they supply your need for Boston Celtics content with their regular podcast on CelticsBlog.

They will talk nerdy to you, dissect the players on and off the court, and bicker like only opinionated New Englanders can. It’s like if CelticsBlog made a BasketballJones / Dunc’dOn lovechild.

You will get the coach’s perspective, the capologist’s view, and a healthy dose of advanced and traditional stats that breakdown everything that happened and could happen with the #1 dynasty in the NBA. If you often find yourself reminiscing about the players you grew up watching, or you just need reminders about what “being a Celtic” means to you, this is the podcast for you. This is Celtics PRIDE!
