The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets are both coming off relatively disappointing seasons, and reloaded this offseason as such. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Russell Westbrook should make for quite the finals matchup if both teams can hold up their end of the bargain and meet next June.
Today on “The Anthony Irwin Show,” I spoke to Kristian Winfield of The New York Daily News to continue our Lakers Contender Series, this time focusing on Lakers-Nets as a finals possibility.
The star power is obviously there, and perhaps a rivalry buds over the course of the season, but for whatever reason right now, there just isn’t the anticipation you might expect from a potential meeting of those names I listed above.
