  1. See ya!

We only saw action from a few of our fixtures today but boy did they deliver.

This is why we love red-ball cricket. Anything can happen at any moment.

Stay with us for what looks likely to be a much drier one tomorrow. Plenty more twists and terms to come as the penultimate round concludes.

  4. How it stands

    Div 1

So Hampshire and Lancashire sit first and second after their wins today.

But that table will change of course before next week's final round once we know the result between Yorkshire and Warwickshire on Wednesday.

Should Yorkshire get the 174 more runs they need it would put them second and a point behind Hampshire.

A Warwickshire win would put them in second place - half a point ahead of Lancashire and three-and-a-half behind Hampshire.

    Mouth-watering stuff.

  5. BreakingHAMPSHIRE BEAT NOTTINGHAMSHIRE BY 122 RUNS

    Hampshire (226 & 178) beat Nottinghamshire (155 & 127)

All over at the Ageas Bowl as Liam Dawson claims the final wicket of Joey Evison caught at silly mid-off by Nick Gubbins.

That gives Liam Dawson figures of 5-45, his first five-wicket haul in the Championship since 2015.

Hampshire win by 122 runs and go top of Division One with a game to play.

Notts slip to third as it stands but their title hopes are still not over.

  6. Post update

    D1: Nottinghamshire (155 & 127-9) need 123 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Joey Evison and Dane Paterson choose to play their shots.

Each of them pick up a boundary off Liam Dawson and Felix Organ.

  7. WICKET Fletcher lbw b Dawson 4

    Nottinghamshire (155 & 118-9) need 132 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Notts nine wickets down and the car is almost getting ready to start at the Ageas Bowl...

Liam Dawson claims his fourth wicket as Luke Fletcher is trapped leg before on his front pad.

Dane Paterson last man in for the visitors.

  8. Close of play at Sophia Gardens

    D2: Glamorgan 309 & 57-6 v Gloucestershire 419

The light doesn't improve, and that's stumps.

An incredible final hour of cricket, where Glamorgan went from batting out until close to suddenly staring at defeat after six wickets fell in a 10 over stretch.

Hats off to Gloucestershire bowler Zafar Gohar who's 3-7 has lead the charge.

  9. Post update

    Nottinghamshire (155 & 115-8) need 135 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Joey Evison is the latest to decide to go big against Liam Dawson.

He middles an impressive straight drive over the top and into the stands for a six.

  10. Bad light stops play

    D2: Glamorgan 309 & 57-6 v Gloucestershire 419

A cascade of darkness sweeps over Sophia Gardens.

Expect stumps to be called any moment now.

  11. Post update

    Nottinghamshire (155 & 109-8) need 141 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Luke Fletcher and Joey Evison the latest pair trying to fight for Notts.

Fletcher picks the right ball to sweep Felix Organ away for four to try keep Hampshire guessing.

Eight overs minimum still to bowl this evening.

  12. WICKET Hutton b Organ 3

    Nottinghamshire (155 & 105-8) need 145 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Another attempted reverse sweep - another one bowled by Felix Organ...

Brett Hutton is the man to depart this time to give Organ his third wicket and Hampshire need just two more to win.

  13. WICKET Cooke c Dent b van Buuren 6

    D2: Glamorgan 309 & 57-6 v Gloucestershire 419

Not a great shot from the Glamorgan skipper Chris Cooke who chips one straight to mid-wicket.

An unlikely finish inside three days looks on.

  14. Post update

    D2: Glamorgan 309 & 57-5 v Gloucestershire 419

Spin from both ends at Cardiff. We're rattling through the overs with just 11 to go now.

Glamorgan just want to survive to close now.

  15. Post update

    D1: Nottinghamshire (155 & 102-7) need 148 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

A Hampshire win just to let you know would send them top of Division One irrespective of what result we get tomorrow between Yorkshire and Warwickshire.

They would go above Lancashire, who went top earlier on after beating Somerset.

There would be just four points between the two sides who meet in next week's final round at Aigburth.

    Exciting stuff.

  16. WICKET Moores b Organ 8

    D1: Nottinghamshire (155 & 97-7) need 153 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Looks like we are on for a Hampshire win tonight.

Felix Organ picks up his second wicket in quick succession as Tom Moores tries to reverse sweep him, but instead inside edges on to his own stumps.

Three more wickets needed for the hosts and still a minimum of 14 overs to bowl this evening.

  17. Post update

Are we going to get two results then before stumps tonight?

Tell us what you think using #bbccricket

  18. Post update

    D2: Glamorgan 309 & 48-5 v Gloucestershire 419

The last five wickets have gone for nine runs.

  19. WICKET Byrom b Higgins 8

    D2: Glamorgan 309 & 48-5 v Gloucestershire 419

    Why did he leave that?

Eddie Byrom doesn't offer a shot and watches the ball crash into his off-stump. What was he thinking there?

Ryan Higgins can't believe his luck as he collects his 49th wicket of the season.

Glamorgan need 62 runs to make Gloucestershire bat again. Glos need five wickets to win and we've got 16 overs left in the day.

  20. Moores not hanging around!

    D1: Nottinghamshire (155 & 94-6) need 156 more runs to beat Hampshire (226 & 178)

Tom Moores has decided he's not going to sit back for Notts.

Comes down the pitch and hits Liam Dawson for an emphatic straight six.
