After months of patient waiting, the 2021 Met Gala is finally here. Everyone from Billie Eilish to Lil Nas X walked the red carpet dressed to the (slightly confusing) theme 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion'. But while we were busy obsessed over Rihanna's unbelievably sophisticated late entrance, fans were a bit confused to see Kim Kardashian attending with a masked man who many of them thought was former husband Kanye West. What's going on?!
Kim attended the event wearing an all-black bodysuit that covered her from head-to-toe, including black gloves, boots and a long train. While the look is already causing quite the fuss over on Twitter, some fans were more interested in the moment when Kim appeared side by side with a man also dressed in the same style disguise, with many of them believing it was Kim's estranged husband Kanye, and captioning their coverage of the event as such.
In reality Kim's masked man was Balenciaga's creative director Demna Gvasalia, who was responsible for the look. But this didn't stop Kim's fans from theorising that the look was a sign than Kimye may not be completely over, with many of them suggesting that Kanye's influence on her outfit was clear.
This isn't the first time fans have thought the pair might have rekindled their relationship, after Kim showed up to Kanye's recent Donda listening party in a wedding dress. Well, whatever's going on, the meme-work on Kim's outfit has been second to none.
