Marvel's Hawkeye Trailer Marks Kate Bishop's MCU Debut

Marvel Studios has shared the first trailer for the upcoming Disney Plus series, Hawkeye. Hawkeye will be the fourth MCU series and it introduces new characters including Kate Bishop, Maya Lopez, Lucky the Pizza Dog, and more.

The Hawkeye trailer shows Barton trying to get back to his family for Christmas. He is joined by Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer who wants to be a superhero. They are forced to work together to stop a villain from Barton’s past. Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez aka Echo, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, Fra Fre as Kazi, and Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez. Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop will eventually take on the mantle of Hawkeye. Marvel has also dropped a new poster for Hawkeye with the tagline, “This holiday season the best gifts come with a bow.”

Steinfeld’s MCU debut as Kate Bishop was confirmed during the Disney Investor Day presentation. Hawkeye was originally supposed to be a movie, but Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige decided that a series would be a better fit. Marvel’s Hawkeye will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on November 24.
