Ash Taylor and Tyrone Peachey top a list of six departing players at the Gold Coast Titans following the club's agonising finals exit.

It's been confirmed that Taylor and Peachey, along with Mitch Rein, Sam Stone, Jai Whitbread and Jonus Pearson, had not been offered a new contract with the club beyond this year.

The announcement comes in the wake of the Titans' elimination final loss to the Sydney Roosters.

Taylor's uncertain future has been well-documented this season, following what has been a tumultuous stint on the Gold Coast for the 26-year-old halfback.

Brought to the club from Brisbane on big money amid huge expectations, Taylor has largely failed to deliver on his promise, yet showed glimpses of his talent over the past two seasons under Justin Holbrook.

The Titans boast two exciting young playmaking prospects in Toby Sexton and Tannah Boyd, who they see carrying the club forward long-term, while mature aged No. 7 Jamal Fogarty's emergence has been a breath of fresh air to the Titans' attack.

Taylor's next destination is still yet to be confirmed, however he has fielded interest from the Canberra Raiders, who are in the market for a halfback following George William's mid-year move home to the Super League.

Meanwhile, Peachey's exit comes despite suggestions Holbrook was weighing up shifting the former NSW Origin lock to the halves in 2022, with new recruit from the Roosters Isaac Liu tipped to wear the 13 jersey next season.

A versatile player capable of playing in the forwards and backline, Peachey is tipped to land on the radar of a number of NRL clubs, however won't be expected to command the $500,000 salary he was earning at the Titans.

Hooker Rein will also no doubt generate some interest around the league given his 200-plus games of NRL experience with the Dragons, Panthers and Titans.

Both Stone and Whitbread have signed with Leigh Centurions in the Super League, while Pearson has linked up with Intrust Super Cup team Central Queensland Capras.
