Damian Lillard was one of the hundreds of thousands of Las Vegas Raiders fans that had a very anxious Sunday night as their team escaped with a huge OT win. The Raiders took care of business in their first game of the 2021 NFL season as they came up clutch against former MVP Lamar Jackson and the visiting Baltimore Ravens with a 33-27 victory.

Lillard, who's a life-long Raiders fan, had a rollercoaster-type evening. The Portland Trail Blazers star was glued to his screen since the start of the game after a seesaw battle in Week 1 ended with his team on top.

“We made it harder than I would've liked but Raider Nation comes out on top” Lillard tweeted out in response to teammate Anfernee Simons checking up on him after the nail-biting win.

Week 1 between the Raiders and the Ravens was an instant classic. Both Jackson and Raiders' QB Derek Carr led their respective teams as they exchanged clutch plays down the stretch. After a series of field goals, the game needed extra time where Carr's squad took full advantage of a few key errors from Ravens to put his team in a position to win.

Of course, Dame is used to this type of craziness as a loyal Raiders fan. The 31-year-old superstar has been with this team through thick and thin even if the franchise's postseason trips have been few and far between over the past decade which is quite eerily similar to Lillard's NBA career with the Blazers. Still, he's making sure he stays loyal both on the court and on the gridiron.
