SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, the Utah Jazz signed former Boise State star guard Derrick Alston Jr.
Alston Jr. is a 6-9 190-pound Houston native who posted 14.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Broncos during his collegiate career.
His best season came in 2019-20, when he averaged 17.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game for Boise State.
Alston, who went undrafted in the NBA Draft this past July, played for the Golden State Warriors’ Summer League squad at Las Vegas in August.
Alston averaged 5.8 points and 4 rebounds per game for the Warriors during Summer League.
In 2020-21, Alston made the all-Mountain West first team, posting 17 points and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Broncos this past season.
