Surprise! James Middleton Just Secretly Married His Longtime Love Alizee Thevenet

James Middleton is officially off the market. The 34-year-old royal tied the knot with his fiancé, Alizee Thevenet, in an intimate ceremony on Saturday.

The couple said “I do” on September 11 in a small village in France. Kate Middleton's younger brother announced the exciting news in a heartfelt Instagram post, featuring a selfie of the newlyweds.

“Mr & Mrs. Middleton,” he wrote in the caption. “Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village or Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am.”

And while very little is known about the nuptials, the wedding officiant and mayor of the village, François Arizzi, spilled some details in a new report to People. Per the outlet, James’s big sister Kate and Prince William were in attendance.

“It was a very nice and very family ceremony," said Arizzi. “Prince William and Kate [Middleton] were there, but they did not want to steal the show from the newlyweds, Alizée Thevenet and James Middleton, who is a very nice boy.”

Arrizi revealed that the ceremony had about 50 guests, including Pippa Middleton and William and Kate's children—Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.

“The bride and groom were very happy,” he continued. “They were able to pose and take photos on the forecourt of the town hall, and the two dogs, who are at the origin of their meeting, were there. They then went to a private domain to celebrate."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
