Week 3 of the 2021 college football season is coming and with it, an exciting non-conference matchup. For the third time ever, Penn State (2-0) and Auburn (2-0) will face each other on the football field. The series is tied 1-to-1, with the Tigers claiming the last victory in 2003 with a 13-9 score.

The Nittany Lions will host the Tigers in the annual White Out in Happy Valley that will bring even more excitement to Penn State fans. This game versus the Tigers will be the first White Out in two years as fans were not in the stands during the 2020 college football season due to the pandemic.

According to ESPN’s FPI, the Nittany Lions have a 62% chance to beat the Tigers this Saturday. The Nittany Lions are also favored by ESPN’s FPI in eight of the remaining 10 games left on the schedule. Of course, Nittany Lions fans, players, and coaches are not looking at future games.

Penn State is looking for its first winning season since 2019 as well as the first conference title for the Nittany Lions since 2016. A win over Auburn would give Penn State a 24-23 record over SEC programs.
