More than 9,100 Iowans have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last seven days, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.Data released Monday by the Iowa DPH show 9,167 positive test results in the last week. So far, 459,617 people have tested positive for the virus since the pandemic began.Iowa’s total COVID-19 deaths remain at 6,337.The state reports 549 COVID-19 patients in Iowa hospitals and 153 COVID-19 patients in intensive care. Of those patients, 64 were admitted in the last 24 hours.Of Iowans hospitalized for COVID-19, 89.5% in the ICU are not fully vaccinated. Just over 80% of patients hospitalized because of COVID-19 are not fully vaccinated. So far, 360,876 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the state, with 64.6% of Iowans 18 and older reported as being fully vaccinated.
