Tyrrell County school officials said there was an increased law enforcement presence at Columbia High School on Monday.

The superintendent said it was is in response to online threats discovered by the school administration last week.

While an investigation by school leaders and Tyrrell County deputies revealed no threat to the campus, school officials said they had officers on hand as a precaution.
